AFRL scientists, engineers promote STEM careers at WPAFB Spring Job Shadow Day

Students visiting the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate as part of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s spring Job Shadow Day March 11, 2024, got a closer look at the world of non-destructive inspection, and a better understanding of how robots like Boston Dynamic’s SPOT are being integrated into that work. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s Educational Outreach Office offers two job shadow days per year to high school juniors and seniors every spring and fall, in an effort to showcase and promote STEM- and non-STEM-related career opportunities on base.
