MR. J. MARK COLEMAN

Mr. J. Mark Coleman is the Director, Human Effectiveness Directorate, 711th Human Performance Wing, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), Ohio, providing science and leading-edge technology to define Airman capabilities, vulnerabilities, and effectiveness; train warfighters; integrate operators and weapon systems; protect Air Force personnel; and sustain aerospace operations. The Directorate is a 900-person research and development organization that is the heart of Airman-centered science and technology for the Air Force with facilities at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. 
 
Mr. Coleman’s nearly 33 years of government service began in 1988 as a mechanical engineer at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (AFS), Florida. Since then, he has served in a broad range of technical assignments, covering systems engineering, human systems integration, acquisition risk management, materials & manufacturing technology, electronics, technical intelligence, missile defense, arms control, simulated altitude testing, spacecraft, propulsion, and facilities. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Coleman was Chief of the Functional Materials Division, Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
